The Doobie Brothers London tour 2024 included 23 new dates to their 50th-anniversary tour set to take place in 2020. The tour will look Michael McDonald, Tom Johnston, Pat Simmons, and John McFee be in together for the first times in 25 years. The band furthermore announced that other Orleans’ dirty Dozen Brass Band will facilitate as retain for whatever of the 50th-anniversary tour dates.

McDonald also added in a recent interview with NPR, “With the Doobies, everybody in the band was proud to be a Doobie Brother. And to this day, I think of myself as a Doobie Brother — everything these years vanguard.”

The band returned to news headlines earlier this year in the same way as the stone & Roll Hall of Fame announced that the Doobie Brothers were upon the list of nominees to be considered for the class of 2020 alongside names following Pat Benatar, Dave Matthews Band, Depeche Mode, Whitney Houston, and Judas Priest.
